Policy Statement

Use, installation, and maintenance of window air conditioners, portable spot coolers, and portable space heaters must have joint authorization from the offices of Campus Planning, Design and Construction; Physical Plant; and Energy Systems & Sustainability Management. New installation of window air conditioners is restricted to providing controlled environments for research or sensitive equipment only when other methods are found inappropriate.
