Benefits eligible staff employees

Policy Statement

Eligible staff employees who are on leave when a new fiscal year commences (i.e., on July 1) do not accrue any new annual entitlement to vacation, floating holidays and personal business days until they return from leave. Benefits eligible staff employees who separate from employment are not entitled to be paid for unused vacation time. Unused floating holidays or personal business time are not paid out upon separation from employment regardless of the reason for termination or who initiates the termination. The University reserves the right to interpret its paid time off policies and to amend, modify, or terminate those policies at any time.
