Policy Statement

Benefits eligible staff employees are eligible upon employment for paid University holidays and bonus holidays as identified in the Schedule of University Holidays, which is available in the Office of Human Resources or on the Human Resources web site. University offices are officially closed on these days. To qualify for holiday pay, eligible employees must be actively employed on the workdays preceding and following the holiday. That is, they must either work or be on an excused leave (in accordance with all University paid time off and paid leave policies) both the day before and after the holiday in order to receive holiday pay.

Bargaining unit staff employees are eligible for holiday pay in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
